CONFERENCE REVIEW

The 2025 UNIfied Conference on Advances in Maintenance Engineering, Damage Assessment, and Machinery Diagnostics, held in Zhang Jia Jie, Hunan, China from May 16 to May 19, 2025, is the premier joint event that brings together three leading conferences: TEPEN, DAMAS, and IncoME.

The UNIfied Conference was initiated in 2019 by the University of Huddersfield, the University of Manchester, and Cardiff University, in collaboration with well-known domestic and international universities such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Beijing Institute of Technology. The conference aims to provide an effective platform for knowledge sharing and exchange among field practitioners, experts, and scholars in structural health monitoring, non-destructive testing, fault diagnosis, and prognosis. It has been hosted six times by institutions including Beijing Institute of Technology, Hebei University of Technology, Beijing Information Science and Technology University, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, the University of Huddersfield, Qingdao University of Technology, and the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT, India).

In this year, UNIFied Conference is jointly organized by Hunan Institute of Engineering, Hunan University of Science and Technology, and the University of Huddersfield (UK), with multiple universities and enterprises co-hosting. The conference features five key themes: “Fault Diagnosis and Intelligent Operation & Maintenance”, “Energy Harvesting and Smart Sensing”, “Dynamics and Vibration Control”, “Renewable Power Generation and Maintenance”, and “Artificial Intelligence and Industrial Digitalization”.

The International Conference on Emerging Technologies in Cyber-Physical Systems and Industrial AI (UNIfied 2024) is being held from November 26–28 at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, India.

The conference was inaugurated by Prof. N P Padhy, Director of MNIT Jaipur, along with distinguished guests including representatives from the Norwegian Embassy in Delhi, Cardiff University, University of Huddersfield, University of Manchester, and MNIT Jaipur’s Mechanical Engineering Department.

UNIfied 2024 combines three major conferences focusing on Maintenance Engineering, Efficiency and Performance Engineering, and Damage Assessment of Structures. Sponsored by TCS Research, Texas A&M University, and the Journal of Dynamics, Monitoring and Diagnostics, the event showcases cutting-edge research in IIoT, Cyber-Physical Systems, and AI/ML in Maintenance.

The conference program features technical presentations, discussions, and networking sessions designed to foster collaboration and innovation in these emerging fields.

UNIfied 2024

The UNIfied Conference of DAMAS, IncoME and TEPEN Conferences (UNIfied Conference 2023) will be held from 29th Aug – 1st Sep 2023 at the University of Huddersfield, UK. The conference will be organised by the University of Huddersfield with a theme of Intelligent Health Monitoring and Diagnostics for Enhancing Efficiency, Reliability and Sustainability of engineering assets.

The conference aims to provide a common platform for professionals, engineers, practitioners and researchers working in the field of simulation/modelling, measuremnt and sensing technology, signal processing, AI data analytics, condition monitoring, maintance and reliability, and structural health monitoring.

The conference was held in a mixed mode, including in person and online attendance, and has welcomed many participants from over 10 countries and regions. There are 12 keynote speeches that were delievered during the conference and nearly 220 papers were presented in seven parallel sessions and two special sessions. In addition, the conference is featured by scientific writing workshop from Springer, exhibitions from sponsers, trip to the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds, laboratory tours as well as Best Paper Awards and International Collaboration Funds (TEPEN-ICF2023).
