Special Session-4

Session Title: Advances in Structural Mechanics and Smart Monitoring of Offshore Power Systems

Special Session Organizers:

Prof. Xizeng Zhao, Ocean College, Zhejiang University, China

Prof. Yingning Qiu, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China

Introduction and Topics:

As the global demand for renewable energy sources continues to grow, offshore power systems, including wind and solar energy, play an increasingly crucial role in meeting energy needs. This special section focuses on the modeling and advancements in structural mechanics, as well as smart monitoring technologies, that enhance the performance, reliability, and safety of offshore power systems. The implementation of advanced structural mechanics ensures that the design and construction of these systems can endure the harsh conditions of marine environments. Meanwhile, innovations in smart monitoring enable real-time data analytics and predictive maintenance capabilities. This synergy not only improves operational efficiency but also reduces downtime and maximizes energy output.

The themes of this section will include, but are not limited to:

  • Modeling Offshore Power Systems
  • Structural Mechanics in Offshore Power Systems
  • Smart Monitoring Technologies
  • Integration of Structural and Monitoring Systems
